World famous Lake Matheson (The Mirror Lake) is only a short 5-minute drive and a beautiful place to take advantage of the most picturesque glacier views in the area. In the evening why not take a stroll through the Fox Glacier Glow Worm Forrest, the track starts right next to the motel. Just 20 minutes from its bigger cousin Franz Josef, in the Southern Alps of New Zealand, Fox Glacier offers a slightly more intimate glacier experience.
