Quinta das Mercês is a 16th century country house offering luxury accommodation in front of the sea. It is situated on Mount Brasil, 5 minutes' drive away from the centre of Angra do Heroísmo. This small pension has just 13 luxurious furnished guest rooms. Some of the rooms have their own private garden, some of the rooms feature a partial sea view. Quinta das Mercês is surrounded by 35,000 m² of gardens and woodlands and offers some great walking circuits. Other leisure facilities include a seawater pool, tennis, kayaks, fishing and Turkish bath. Breakfast is included in the room rate and is served buffet style each morning.
