It features free WiFi and a sunny terrace with views of the Southern Alps, Lake Tekapo and Mt John Observatory, popular for its stargazing tours. Tekapo Heights is 2.2 km from Tekapo Hot Springs, 55 minutes drive from Lake Pukaki then 25 minutes onto Mt Aoraki, (Mount Cook). Timaru Airport is a 60-minute drive away. Flat-screen satellite TV with Netflix, a refrigerator and a tea and coffee maker are standard in all rooms. Each room has a private bathroom with a hairdryer, guest toiletries, bathrobes and slippers. Local information and activities including stargazing tours and flights are available. Free parking is available on site. A variety of restaurants can be found within a 10-minute walk.
