Vipassana also has its own ‘Antique Library’ with extremely rare ancient coins and works of art made with Ivory used by kandyan royalty more than a century ago. It offers amazing views of the lake as well as the forest. Named after the Samatha yoga designed to calm the Mind, Samatha is a small Peaceful and Cosy room set slightly away from Staircases and other common areas. Ideal for a couple It has a twin view, on one side the Lake and the other the forest. Many sightings of Deer, Wild Boar, Monkeys and Monitor Lizard has been reported from this room. Furnished with genuine kandyan antiques, it has an en suite bathroom with standard shower and an antique four poster bed with Luxurious bed linen.
